Wilma's musings..

New Weight: 268.2
Pounds Lost This Week: 2.8
Pounds Lost So Far: 10.8
Pounds to Goal: 31

Okay! FINALLY!!! Some good news from my damn scale! I was REALLY about to give up - I had a conversation with Betty the other night stating that I was going to weigh myself on Saturday morning this week and if I didn't see any change, I was done for a while. I have a doc appt in mid March so I figured I would just let it go till then and talk to him about it. BUT, I hopped up on the scale and it showed me a loss! YAY!!

I know I bailed these last couple of weeks, but when I didn't see ANY movement on the scale last week, I went into a funk. It really is frustrating when you see no reward for your hard work! I felt like I was giving it my all and getting nothing back... This past week I wrote down everything and WHEN I ate it. I wanted to see if I could see something I might be doing wrong. Now, you know how they say if you write it down, you'll find your errors and be able to correct them? Uh huh.. they aren't lying! I'll tell you what - if you have to write it down - you are VERY aware of what you put in your mouth. Not only that but you can see what's going on with your day. Like a couple of days I was stressed - wrote that in - FOUGHT HARD not to stress eat. Stayed focused! I also wrote down how much sleep I was getting. I'm doing it for a couple of reasons. I'm doing it to see if there are changes I can make, to keep myself in check AND to show my doctor when I go in for my appt.. I don't want assistance (aka meds or anything), I'd prefer to work hard and get it off the old fashioned way - which will also help me keep in check with good lifestyle changes. Oh and PS! My hubby and I purchased a used elliptical machine this weekend. FANTASTIC! It's good for both of us - you know? The guy that sold it to me said when he and his wife got one, she could only do 5 min the first day, then each day she added a minute to her time until she was up to 45.. that's my plan too - I did 13.5 minutes today. So I'm building from that.

Peas Out! - "A much happier" Wilma!
